Tell us about yourself.

I am Manav Pande. 21 yrs of age. I have just completed with my bachelor’s degree i.e BBA from ICFAI, Dehradun and now pursuing MBA from ICFAI, Mumbai. I am an optimistic hard worker and I believe in my dreams. I love traveling n making new friends. Acting is my passion and I love ramp modeling .Now I am in MUMBAI doing THEATRE with NADIRA ZAHEER BABBAR’S group EKJUTE and I am also doing modeling assignments.

Manav you are into modeling since 2006. Tell us something about the journey of your modeling career.

My journey of modeling career had started on 15th oct 2006 it was my first ramp show. It was a Khadi show. It was organized by IIFT Dehradun in which I ramped with professional models from Mumbai and Delhi, choregraphed by Mr. Annup Banerjee, from their I never looked back and went for many ramp shows in Dehradun. From 2006 to 2009 I was very active in ramp shows in Doon. Now I am in MUMBAI to fulfill my dreams. Hope UTTARAKHAND will be proud of me in future.

Tell us about the shows you have choreographed or show you might have performed as a model or as an actor.

First I would like to talk about the shows I have choreographed. Not much but I have choreographed only two shows till yet. The first one was at “The Club” Rajpur Road on 5th june 2008 (environment day) this show was done to make people aware towards environment and to save it. In this show all the models were from Dehradun. The second show which I choreographed was for my college ICFAI in some national conference conducted by ICFAI only, the show was sponsored by the Umang Sarees Dehradun. Now I would like to talk about my ramp shows in which I performed as a model. In the journey of three years 06 to 09 I have done many ramp shows in Dehradun starting from Khadi show (IIFT), Design Flash (SAFT 07and 08). INIFT show and many model hunt and many other shows. I would like to talk about my last ramp show in Doon, this was Mr. Arun Lal’s show who is a Delhi based designer and this was the great show till yet. And now as an actor I am performing in THEATRE in MUMBAI.

Any major achievement in this field?

Yes, I won the titles of Mr. Uttarakhand, 2nd Runners Up and Mr. Talented 2008. Till now the biggest achievement is I m working in a THEATRE with NADIRA ZAHEER BABBAR one of the respected name in theatre.

How your family members and your friends take you after winning such titles.

After winning such titles my family members and my friends always encourage me to do well in this field and they are proud of me. My family members had always guide me the right path and had always motivate me to do well. I am really proud of my family.

Manav you have struggled a lot and might have experienced many things till now. As a model what you think is missing in Uttarakhand in terms of modeling?

In terms of modeling proper opportunities are missing in Uttarakhand. There are hardly any proper advertising agencies or model co-coordinators who can provide work to the models and prepare them for higher levels. There are some agencies in Doon which are almost fake and they make there own money by using new models.

Ok Manav you also seem to be very particular about your appearance. Tell our viewers and visitors about the exercises you do in gym.

Before going to gym I go for a jog (20 to 30 minutes) and then I go for gym. In gym I spend only 1 hr, because 1hr is more than enough for exercises. In that 1hr I do exercises in the proper guidance of my trainer and last 15 minutes I give for cardio.

Any plans in working in serials or in movies?

First I will go for movies if it works then well and good, otherwise serials. But I’ll not leave modeling.

What would you like to say to those girls and boys who want to be a model but doesn't know how to start?

First make up your mind are you really prepare to take this industry because failures are more than success, competition is really high. But all these things do not matter at all if you are really determined to touch your dreams. Believe in yourself n go for it. Before going for it just collect the proper information about the modeling agencies and coordinators because many fake people are in this industry.
