About Bageshwar District
Bageshwar district is in the eastern Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, and is bounded on the west and northwest by Chamoli District, on the northeast and east by Pithoragarh District, and on the south by Almora District.
The town Bageshwar is the district headquarters which is situated on the confluence of Sarju and Gomati rivers. The city of Bageshwar gets its name from the Bagnath Temple. Bageshwar is known for its scenic beauty, Glaciers, Rivers and Temples.
Nanda Devi festival is celebrated here, during which devotees from all over India visit this place.
